As usual, Samsung will register its presence at the function and reports have it that the Korean tech giant will be showcasing a variety of products including a range of smart TVs with Google’s assistant, its first 4K resolution OLED displays for notebooks, and now, a report that just emanated from Korea says the firm will at the event showcase a technology invention that could end up being part of the upcoming Galaxy S10 range of Galaxy phones. Samsung first demoed the product earlier this year at a tech function in China and is all now set to go into commercialization in the coming year. The sound-emitting OLED display could be another major trend in the smartphone industry in the coming year, as even Sammy”s rival LG is also reportedly working on a similar tech that could debut alongside one of its upcoming G series of LG phones, notebooks, and monitors.

The lack of a removable battery panel limits the ability to carry a spare battery and makes it harder to replace failing batteries, but is does allow the components to be squeezed together in order to achieve the impressively thin 7.9mm (0.31 inch) thick chassis which weighs just 145g (or 5.16 ounces). The glass-coated rear casing brings the Sony up to the quality levels achieved by the HTC One and Apple iPhone 5, although to give the handset a unique element Sony has extended these glass panels around the sides. The back panel and front screen are made of shatter-resistant glass (although not Corning Gorilla Glass), while a glass-fibre polyamide chassis with slightly rounded corners connects the glass panels together. Overall the Sony comes across as a high end smartphone, only bettered in terms of quality and feel by the fabulous HTC One.
